Seastar Oil HA5430

Seastar Oil HA5430 32 fl. oz – 1 L is highly recommended to use,  on all Seastar, Baystar and Hynautic steering systems, due to recent upgrades in steering system components.

Hydraulic steering fluid is formulated to provide the best performance for your SeaStar/BayStar steering system.  A perfect blend of viscosity stabilisers, anti-wear agents and corrosion inhibitors will ensure maximum steering life performance.

High VI, ISO 15 hydraulic oil is formulated to provide best performance for your hydraulic steering system by using the best viscosity stabilisers, anti wearing agents and corrosion inhibitors to maximise your steering life performance and extend its longevity and quality.

You will require two (2) bottles of Seastar oil for a system. Seastar Systems come with 2 bottles of hydraulic oil. We highly recommend having some extra hydraulic oil on your boat. We recommended using Seastar hydraulic oil for your steering systems under warranty.

Use of Non-approved oil may result in the following:

Higher steering effort, particularly at ambient or lower temperatures and over time due to oil degradation and breakdown.
Increased steering slip or drift resulting in lost motion.
Foaming or air within the system causing bumpy feel during steering.
High rate of moisture absorption causing internal corrosion.
Scratched cylinder bore and shafts as well as seal degradation due to contamination or elevated wear rate.

 Only in emergency use Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).

The use of emergency fluid in the system MUST be thoroughly flushed as soon as possible with genuine Seastar hydraulic oil.
