 Seastar 2.0 Pro Helm HH5770-3 is the ultimate steering system for high-speed single engine outboards.
Has steered the Bass Masters since 1994 and is the choice of high performance outboard boat builders.
The worlds most popular hydraulic steering systems by Seastar Solutions formerly known as Teleflex Marine. 

Only use with a Balanced Cylinder the HC6345-3 PRO Steering cylinder.

Specifically designed the helm pump is an axial piston pump for manual steering. It has a built-in lock valve to prevent the steering load from feeding back to the driver. And the lock valve will not allow the rudder or drive unit to move until you move it with the steering wheel. Whilst the lock valve section of the helm also includes a relief valve. This relief valve provides over-pressure protection for mechanical components and hydraulic hoses and fittings.

Note on Steering Response versus Steering Effort.
Steering wheel effort is directly proportional to the number of wheel turns lock-to-lock. Lock-to-lock is dependent on two things.
Volume of cylinder.  more volume = more wheel turns with less effort
Displacement of the helm pump. higher displacement = less wheel turns/faster response with more effort.

As a result 4.25 turns from lock-to-lock (single cylinder) when using 2.0 helms.

Information:
All the -3 helms are fitted with position able O-ring style hose fitting ports (referred as ORB). These fittings are made of corrosion resistant stainless steel and now thread into the cylinders/helms via position able O-ring hose ports. ORB fittings can be easily orientated in any direction to accommodates tube routing.
